That’s right Kaufman County, I just got off the phone with local blues legend Tommy Katona, and he has agreed to teach one day out of the week here at Troubador Music starting in November. I am so honored to be able to bring this opportunity to the neighboring towns of Terrell, Forney, Crandall, Kaufman, Wills Point, Quinlan, Mesquite, Sunnyvale, Elmo, Rockwall, Heath, and any other town or person that would like to learn more of the blues and classic rock blues.

Tommy’s teaching style fits hand in glove to the approach we have here at Troubador Music. “Teach you what you need to know, understand what you’ve been taught, apply it and go play.” Mr. Katona is very laid back and patient and is open to teaching all age groups. We have started a waiting list, and I will be touching base with Tommy more on the day of the week that will work best for him. So keep an eye on the news here and in our Forums as we fine-tune the details. We have determined that Tommy will teach for a full evening 5pm to 9pm once a week and the cost will be the same as our regular lesson fees (you can find that information here).

Guys, I gotta tell you, I’m putting myself on the list to take some lessons from this incredible blues man. He is just that good! Don’t miss our Master Blues Clinic with Tommy on October 29th 2011.
