Troubador Music in Terrell, Texas, is Kaufman County’s premiere Music-Teaching Studio. Our unique approach to teaching will get you up and playing fast with a true understanding of how music works. At Troubador Music we are very hands-on in our instruction, giving you every opportunity to take what you have learned in your private lessons and use those skills in our bands, jam sessions, performances, and recording studio.

Founder/President Kevin Curtis has over 30 years of playing and teaching experience along with the other Troubador Music instructors. We also have a peer student program where our advanced students help us with our jams, etc.

Once you start getting a grasp of your instrument we put you in a band situation, taking what you've learned in your private lesson and bringing it to life. Being part of a team (band) will help keep you motivated to practice, which is the key to your success. Your teacher will be there both in your private and group instruction, giving you key points to help you along. As you further progress, we put on shows and recitals and even help your band find gigs to give you the experience you’ll need to succeed as a musician.
